Switching from another scheduling platform

You can switch to Breely from another scheduling platform and transfer over all your data.

Set up Breely

First, set up your account. If you are coming from Acuity or another scheduling platform, here are some key things to configure that may be in different places from other platforms.

• Event Types - these are your appointment types, classes, and group events.
• Forms - most other scheduling platforms only give you one scheduling page. With Breely you can have many different scheduling pages, all customized differently. This can be done with Forms by adding an Appointment block.
• Automations - these are your Notifications (and more). Automations are what trigger emails, text messages, and other actions to occur when an appointment is scheduled, canceled, rescheduled, occurs, or is completed.
• Packages - there are no codes for clients to remember, packages are assigned to a client's email address and automatically redeemed when they book with that email.

Transferring Data

You can import clients, and appointments from your other platform. In the Clients section, click the "..." button in the upper right. From there you can choose to import a spreadsheet containing clients or appointments.

What's different from Acuity?

Acuity is a great platform for scheduling. The fundamental difference is that Acuity is focused on appointment scheduling alone, where Breely is built as a flexible platform focused on clients, and forms. This leads to several major differences, along with several other more tactical differences in implementation.

• Build standalone forms that can be handled independently of scheduling
• Forms support more complex conditional logic
• Automations can be built for anything to send emails, text messages, trigger webhooks — with more coming in the future. All of this can be done depending on certain conditions, and be filled in with any custom fields. Here are a few simple uses:
  • Form submissions - ex., remind people of next steps after they submit a lead form
  • Appointments - ex., send confirmations, reminders, and more
  • Packages - ex., send emails when the package is redeemed or running now
• Create multiple forms, and multiple different scheduling pages — all branded and customized separately
• Multi-day appointments
• Class series/courses can have multiple sessions, so there's no need to duplicate appointment types
• Time zones can be set separately for each person/resource people can book with
• Limit number of upcoming appointments per client (ex., at most 1 upcoming appointment at a time or no more than 3 appointments in a month)
• Users can be a part of multiple businesses, and it's extremely easy to sync calendars, and switch between businesses
• Many features to customize the appearance of your forms, and scheduling pages
• Performance is extremely fast, all built with a more modern tech stack
• Packages are assigned to clients, and automatically redeemed based on email. No more remembering package codes
